Oh, Yeezus. Khloé Kardashian opened up about the status of estranged hubby Lamar Odom’s health in an interview withHollywood Today Live on Tuesday, February 23. According to the reality star, she worried his attendance at brother-in-law Kanye West's Yeezy Season 3 show might halt his recovery.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom: Relive Their Sweetest Moments
"I did not want him to really go to New York. It's scary. I had a ton of anxiety," Kardashian, 31, explained. "You're first time out at Madison Square Garden? Like, I just felt like, 'Is it too much stimulants for his brain? Who knows? Everyone cleared him. He was good to go and it meant so much to Lamar. And I thought it was so dope of Kanye to want to walk out with Lamar."
As Us Weekly previously reported, Odom, 36, suffered a dozen strokes on October 13, 2015, after overdosing on drugs during his stay at a legal brothel in Nevada. At the time, doctors worried that he might never walk again.
But, as Kardashian explained, her ex, who was released from the hospital in January, has beaten the odds. “He will say, ‘I’m back like nothing ever happened,’” she said. “I’m like, OK, well, let’s remember what happened.’”
Four months after his near-fatal overdose, Kardashian credits West, 38, with playing a big part in the athlete’s recovery.
“Kanye was really instrumental in Lamar’s getting better,” the E! personality gushed about sister Kim Kardashian’s spouse. “He would come to the hospital and play his album for Lamar. And Lamar couldn’t speak at this time. And music is definitely a form of therapy.”
“When he was able to finally speak, he said, ‘Man, Kanye really helped me. I love that he would come,’” the Strong Looks Better Naked author added.

As hope for Odom’s health continues to grow, so does the possibility of him and Kardashian one day reconciling. Kardashian called off their divorce after Odom's hospitalization.
"I hope so," she revealed on the February 22 episode of Kocktails With Khloé. "I mean, that would be like the best dream...like, okay, I hope that first marriage could happen again, but it's really hard to erase everything that happened. Just building a friendship back is what I'm doing now, it has nothing intimately, nothing at all, just pure love, and I want someone to learn how to love themselves again."
